Το συνέδριο θα φέρει σε επαφή ερευνητές από όλο τον κόσμο στο αντικείμενο της Γονιδιωματικής στις Υδατοκαλλιέργειες στην πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης. Θα συζητηθούν οι τελευταίες εξελίξεις στο εν λόγω αντικείμενο, και θα αναπτυχθούν νέες συνέργιες που θα περιλαμβάνουν και ερευνητικές ομάδες από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο.
Στόχος του συνεδρίου είναι η κινητοποίηση των φοιτητών, με σκοπό να εφαρμόσουν τις γνώσεις τους στην πράξη, να αναπτύξουν έναν τρόπο πρακτικής κατανόησης της Φαρμακευτικής Επιστήμης, να έρθουν σε επαφή με νέους τομείς και νέες ανακαλύψεις των φαρμακευτικών επιστημών, καθώς και με την εργαστηριακή πραγματικότητα. Το έργο αφορά την επιχορήγηση του 5ου Πανελλήνιου Επιστημονικού Συνεδρίου Φοιτητών Φαρμακευτικής (5ο Π.Ε.Σ.Φ.ΦΑ), από τους σύνεδρους που θα παρακολουθήσουν το συνέδριο.

MEI2024 is the 5th International Conference on Medical Education Informatics. The conference is held in the premises of KEDEA Building, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece from Monday 10th to Tuesday 11th of June 2024. It is jointly organised by the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and the School of Health Sciences of the University of Nottingham (UK). MEI 2024 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners in the multi-disciplinary areas of Medical/Health Education, patient education and engagement, Open Education educational technology and technology enhanced learning, Medicine/Health 2.0/3.0/4.0, Artificial Intelligence in Health Education, Simulation and new pedagogical approaches in Health Education and to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of their research activities. Environmentally induced diseases are responsible for nearly a quarter of all deaths globally. In Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southern European regions, environmental impacts are exacerbated by poor ambient air quality, high residual contamination of water and soils, chemical contamination by persistent organic pollutants (POPs), and long-distance transport of environmental contaminants such as per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substance (PFAS), microplastics, and military-related pollution. The goal of CEECHE is to allow contextualized scientific discussion that leads to solutions to improve public health in the region. CEECHE is a cooperative initiative of the US and European institutions allowing the scientific exchange to define the worldwide complex but common links between health and the environment. The inaugural CEECHE conference was held in 2004 in Prague, Czech Republic; subsequent events took place in Bratislava, Czech Republic (2006), Cluj-Napoca, Romania (2008 and 2014), Prague, Czech Republic (2016) Krakow, Poland (2018).
